Brava: Fire consumes a family's assets

Nova Sintra, May 30 (Bravanews) - A house in Cutelo, Nova Sintra, was completely consumed by fire, leaving the family with only the clothes on their backs.

The family made up of 6 elements saw all their belongings being consumed by the fire without being able to do anything to prevent it.

Another misfortune that happens on the island, bringing forward the debate on the need to improve the civil protection system, to ensure more efficiency in the protection of people and their property.

Neighbors and police tried to put out the fire but to no avail. Witnesses stated that the civil protection vehicle arrived minutes later, but the autotaquen did not contain “a drop of water”.

So far, “the council had not arrived to find out what had happened and to comfort the family, who had lost all the goods achieved in a lifetime of work”.
