Flavia Machado Freitas finalist with distinction at Jeremiah E. Burke High School

City of New Bedford, Jun 12 (Bravanews) - Bravanews has always featured stories of our emigrants struggling to succeed in foreign lands. Flavia Machado Freitas, 8 years old living in the USA, managed to finish her high school studies in one of the first in the class, in what is usually called “top of the class”.

Flavia Machado Freitas, daughter of Brava parents, born on Brava Island, arrived in the United States in 2008, and like the good student she was on her native island, she soon found shelter here, in a “country” where education is of capital importance.

sticking to her studies, Flavia, as an aunt said, saw great windows of opportunity and seized it, applying to her studies, in the mythical city of Boston, State of Mass.

Eight years after arriving here, Flavia Machado Freitas graduated as one of the best students at Jeremiah E. Burke High School, in Boston.

Relatives and friends of this brilliant student say they are proud of her way of being, her path and the seriousness with which she takes her studies.

Bravanews publishes successes of our emigrants, so that they can serve as inspiration for those who dream of winning in countries of emigration.
