ELDERLY COUPLE TAKEN HOSTAGE, ASSAULT AND STOLEN IN THEIR RESIDENCE IN THE LOCATION OF JOÃO DA NOLY

Nova Sintra, 08 June 2016 (Bravanews) - Another piece of news that leaves Brava and its population speechless.

An elderly couple was robbed, the woman taken hostage, the husband beaten and then considerable sums were stolen – 80,000 Cape Verdean escudos and approximately 350 US dollars.

This happened in the quiet town of Joao da Noly, a town where events of this nature are not often heard.

It is also known that the woman was handcuffed during this act of incredible and unforgivable baseness.
